The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik attended today in Istočno Novo Sarajevo the official start of work on the construction of an elementary school.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the new primary school, for which the foundation stone was laid, will be named after the girls Milica and Nataša who were killed during the last war, stressing that this is a way to preserve the lasting memory of the children who were killed just because they were Serbs.
“We agreed that the school should be named after the girls who were killed while they were playing, only because they belonged to our people”, said the President of the Republic.
The President of Srpska stated that it is extremely important that Istočno Novo Sarajevo is an area that needs a new school, due to the number of students.
“The existing school has twice as many students as planned, and this school is being built for 650 students”, it was explained by the President Dodik.
The President of the Republic pointed out that the government listens to the needs and demands of the people of this part of Srpska, who deserve it.
The President of Srpska congratulated the Mayor of Istočno Novo Sarajevo Jovan Katić on a good investment, pointing out that the construction of the school is only a continuation of the development of this part of Srpska.
“Since I have been leading the government in the Republic of Srpska, an entire city has been built. Twenty years ago, there was not much to see. Today, there is the “Srbija” Hospital, residential units, roads, a sports hall, a theater”, said the President Dodik.
The President of the Republic said that the people of this part of the Republic of Srpska deserve that the government of Srpska fully follows their demands and needs.
