The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik visited the eight-member family of Njegoš and Tatjana Badnjar today in Brod on the Drina near Foča and congratulated them on moving into a new home, for which BAM 100,000 was provided, and presented them with gifts of money and goods.
On this occasion, the President Dodik said that it is nice to make new friends.
“I think I have made new friends in the Badnjar family, whose lives I will, of course, follow. These are young people with six children who struggle to send their children to school, to live. As the President of the Republic, and using some opportunities while I was a member of the Presidency and later, I helped to secure the funds”, said the President of Srpska.
The President Dodik emphasized that he is glad to see happy people, and that he is even more pleased since the previous owner of the house, from whom the residential building for the Badnjar family was purchased, became so friendly with them that she became part of the family.
“It is a wonderful feeling. May they be happy and long-lived, may they live healthily. They finally had a son – Nikola is here, they are young, maybe there will be more children. This is a good example of how people can cope with the help of the social community and us the responsible people, who have to help in this way”, said the President of the Republic, who gave a special gift to baby Nikola.
Last year, the President of Srpska, as the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, launched an action to build or buy a new house for the Badnjar family.
The house with a garden in Brod on the Drina cost BAM 100,000, for which the President Dodik, while a Serb member of the BiH Presidency, provided BAM 40,000, and as the President of the Republic of Srpska provided additional BAM 60,000.
