The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attended today the presentation of the weapons, equipment and capabilities of the Serbian Army in Niš as part of the celebration of the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the Serbian Army is ready and capable of defending the country, people and the territory.

On behalf of the people of Srpska, the President Dodik expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Serbian Army is stabilizing its potential.

The President of the Republic pointed out that he saw equipped, trained and, most importantly, motivated soldiers, but also equipment that he does not have the opportunity to see elsewhere, stating that this is something completely different from what could be seen only ten years ago.

“I would like to congratulate the President, his team, the Mayor, the Minister, everyone involved for deciding to do it”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic emphasized that there is no freedom and a free state that does not have reliable armed forces, that does not have an army determined to defend it, an army that has never attacked in history, but it was defended.

“That is why it is important that today we can tell our people, the Serbs all over the world, knowing that they love Serbia, that this is indeed progress that is undoubtedly huge and that required a lot of effort”, said the President Dodik.

The presentation at the Niš Fortress was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Serbia General Milan Mojsilović, Ministers in the Government of Serbia Miloš Vučević, Bratislav Gasić and Nikola Selaković, as well as leaders of the city of Niš.

Members of the Army, Air Force and Air Defense, Training Command, 63rd Parachute Unit and 72nd Special Operations Brigade presented some of their weapons and equipment to them and the gathered citizens.
