The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the Ambassador of Japan to BiH Hideyuki Sakamoto in an inaugural visit.
The current cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Japan and the possibilities for its expansion were discussed during the meeting. The President Cvijanović briefed the Ambassador Sakamoto with political and economic issues in Srpska and BiH.
The President Cvijanović stressed that the Republic of Srpska is focused on creating a stimulating investment environment and has significant natural and tourist potentials, thus invited Japanese investors to invest in Srpska.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović emphasized that the Republic of Srpska continues to work on reforms that would allow the further development of the business environment in Srpska, and stressed that it is necessary to establish a credible government at the level of BiH as soon as possible to continue the reform process.
Congratulating the newly appointed Ambassador, the President Cvijanović thanked for the help and donations that the Government of Japan and its people provided to the citizens of the Republic of Srpska over the past years.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the good and friendly relations of the Republic of Srpska and Japan so far, and expressed their commitment to their further improvement, especially in the fields of health, culture and education.
