The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, on occasion of 1 May, the International Labour Day, extended congratulations to all citizens, workers and trade unions in the Republic of Srpska.
“On occasion of 1 May, International Labour Day, I extend my cordial greetings to all citizens, workers and trade unions in the Republic of Srpska.
“Labour Day, 1 May, is a symbol of the struggle for workers’ rights and workers’ solidarity and reminds us all of the historic struggle for workers’ rights and the dignity of a man who provides for himself and his family with his honourable and honest work.
“The Republic of Srpska and her institutions, in the second year of the pandemic, along with measures to defend public health, are waging an equally challenging fight to preserve economic stability and jobs.
“To achieve an important objective, such as improving the material position of workers, requires a functional and stable Republic, which has the capacity to respond to the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as to uphold good partnership relations with social partners and the business community.
“Convinced that after overcoming this difficult period, we shall witness a further growth of the living standard of all citizens of the Republic of Srpska, I once again wish to congratulate you on the International Labor Day and cordially greet you,” reads the congratulatory message of President Cvijanović.
