The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, met today in the Palace of the Republic with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in BiH, Siri Andersen. Interlocutors discussed the current political and economic, as well as the current epidemiological situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH.
It was noted at the occasion that co-operation between the institutions of Srpska and Norway is at a satisfactory level, and hope was expressed that relations will further improve in the forthcoming period.
At the meeting, President Cvijanović pointed out that Republic of Srpska institutions are carefully monitoring the epidemiological situation, and added that effective fight against the Coronavirus implies responsible behaviour by each and every individual, as well as strict compliance with measures and recommendations of the competent authorities.
It was stressed at the meeting that the political situation in BiH is complicated, and the President of the Republic emphasised that the implementation of social and economic reforms and the mitigation of negative consequences of the pandemic on the economy should be a priority of the competent institutions at all levels of government.
