On Occasion of Serb Unity, Freedom and National Flag Day, Republic of Srpska President Was Presented with Replicas of Republic of Srpska Army Units’ War Flags by Serbian President’s Envoy and Republic of Serbia Defence Minister

On marking the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and National Flag, the envoy of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, presented President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, with replicas of war flags of Republic of Srpska Army units.

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, stated that the common holiday of Srpska and Serbia is being marked with the wish for the two to live and prosper forever, to develop, and celebrate together, and to forget not all which is important in their common past and history, and to respond to challenges that present before them in future.   In her address in front of the Palace of the Republic, after the President of Serbia’s envoy, Aleksandar Vulin, presented her with replicas of war flags of the Republic of Srpska Army’s units, and with the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik and the Srpska Prime Minister, Radovan Višković in attendance, the President said she was sure Serbia and Srpska would always be united.   The President of the Republic thanked the authorities of Serbia for presenting Srpska with 130 replicas of military flags, which will be used to mark important dates.   “This is one of the great things we do together, but never to the detriment of anyone else and so that we can always be proud of something that represents our common and individual achievement.  We are happy to see that Serbia is doing a lot on her development path, and we are sure she will also support us on ours.  It is important that we respect important achievements from our past, and that we know what are our traditions and identity – unity, freedom and the flag that identifies us,” noted President Cvijanović.
