Memorandum signed with a Chinese company

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik said that today in Banja Luka, a memorandum for the construction of wastewater treatment plants in 10 cities in the Republic of Srpska was signed with the Director General of the Chinese company “China Energy International Group” Qiao Xubin.

The President Dodik pointed out that this company has extensive experience in the construction of wastewater treatment plants.

“We are talking about 10 cities in the Republic of Srpska and that project includes all cities in the first phase, and later we will go to other settlements. We signed a memorandum to further develop that project”, said the President Milorad Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that at the meeting they discussed projects of mutual interest, such as the construction project of the “Dabar” Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is being implemented with that company.

“This project has no delays on either side and it will be implemented in the prescribed procedures”, said the President Milorad Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the Republic of Srpska wants to build strategic cooperation with the company “China Energy International Group”.

“We also discussed the construction of a section of the highway that should go from Bijeljina, through Zvornik, across the east of the Republic of Srpska, Višegrad towards Foča and on to Trebinje, which is the next project of our infrastructure network of highways”, said the President Milorad Dodik.

The President of the Republic pointed out that it is a very demanding project in terms of construction and finance, and that solutions will be sought in this regard.

“I would like to thank Mr. Qiao Xubin and his associates for showing interest in the Republic of Srpska. I think we have the right partners who can follow us and our position through joint arrangements and joint projects”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that within the “Belt and Road” initiative, the Republic of Srpska has already implemented several important projects, the first of which is the construction of the Thermal Power Plant in Stanari.

“I had the opportunity to listen to the President /of China/ Xi Jinping on several occasions as he pointed out this as one of the top proofs of the possible development of that project”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic pointed out that today Chinese projects in the region are very important, and that China is showing strength and ability to be the main economic subject of the world and determine overall global growth and development.

“China Energy International Group” is one of the most powerful state-owned companies in China, and we will look for new solutions with them”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska wished the guests from China a pleasant stay in the Republic of Srpska, for which he pointed out that it has gained another friend who will talk about it as it is, and not as it occurs to “various evildoers from the West, to insult the Republic of Srpska wherever they can”.
