Formal reception held on the occasion of the celebration of January 9th
In the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, a formal reception was held tonight to celebrate January 9th – the Day of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik said that Srpska has preserved itself in almost impossible conditions for the Serbs and that the ultimate goal is a free Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic said that Srpska is celebrating a significant event, 31 annivrsary of its existence.
“They took a lot from us, but they did not take our soul. I hope that we will reach the ultimate goal, which is a free Republic of Srpska”, said the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska stated that he is a daily witness to attempts to steal Serbian history and culture and to assume important historical figures for the Serb people, and added that those who try will not succeed in it and that Serbs have no reason to be ashamed of their history and existence.
“Those who fought in the “Handschar Division” cannot be the bearers of the anti-fascist struggle”, said the President of the Republic.
The President Dodik added that the Serbs will not agree to the deception of creating a civil state.
“Let everyone have their own country and organise themselves the way they think they should live”, it was emphasized by the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska thanked Serbia and the President Aleksandar Vučić for their support and assistance to the Republic of Srpska.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the guests from France, Slovenia, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro and others who came to celebrate the Day of the Republic with us”, said the President of the Republic.
