First session of the Committee for marking the Day of the Republic of Srpska was held

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik chaired today the First session of the Committee for the marking of the Day of the Republic of Srpska.

At the session, which was held in the Palace of the Republic, the Committee for marking the Day of the Republic of Srpska was constituted, the proposal for the Programme of the celebration was adopted and a Working Group was formed for the preparation and realisation of the marking of the Day of the Republic.

Central events on the occasion of the Day of the Republic celebration this year shall also include a ceremonial parade on Krajina Square, a solemn academy in the “Borik” sports hall, as well as a ceremonial reception in the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska.

The programme foresees the presentation of awards to deserving institutions and individuals, which will take place in the Banski Dvor Cultural Centre, as well as the laying of wreaths and flowers at the Memorial to the Fallen Soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, the Serbian Military Memorial Cemetery “Mali Zejtinlik”, the Memorial to the NOR Soldiers, the Memorial Centre, the Banja Luka Children’s Memorial and on the memorial to the former President of the Republic of Srpska Dr Milan Jelić.

The Day of the Republic of Srpska shall be celebrated in all cities and municipalities of the Republic of Srpska, as well as in Brčko District.
