Congratulations to the President of Israel and the Prime Minister of Israel on the occasion of Passover

On the occasion of the upcoming Jewish holiday of Passover, the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik extended congratulations to the President of Israel Isaac Herzog and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.

This great Jewish holiday, which celebrates the liberation of the biblical Israelis from slavery in Egypt, is seen by Jews as the essence of God’s Hesed, God’s loving protection for the Jews.

And we, the Serbs of the Western Balkans, believe in God’s mercy and protection towards us. Precisely for this reason, I congratulate you with joy on this holiday, which is important for your, but also for the world and Christian civilisational heritage.

Serbs and Jews are the nations that have suffered the most during the history of the world. This significant memory connects our two peoples and obliges us to keep the memory alive, the consciousness omnipresent, and our friendship and cooperation firm and energetic.

With the wish for much success and peace, for you and the people of Israel, for this and other Jewish holidays to come, I warmly greet you and wish you a happy Passover”, reads the congratulation letter from the President of the Republic of Srpska.
