Congratulations on the occasion of May 12 – the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik sent a congratulatory message to the commander of the Third Infantry (Republic of Srpska) Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH, the Brigadier Sreten Milošević, members of the Third Infantry (Republic of Srpska) Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as to former members of the Army of the Republic of Srpska on the occasion of May 12 – the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

“On behalf of citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of marking May 12 – the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

The decision to create the Army of the Republic of Srpska, which was made on May 12, 1992, was historic and this date will remain written in golden letters in the history of the Serb people, since there would be no Republic and no freedom without the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

The Third Infantry (Republic of Srpska) Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH has continued to proudly inherit values and tradition of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, as well as the Serb people as a whole.

Today we express our special gratitude to those who invested their lives in the Republic of Srpska, defended its territory and preserved the Serb people with heroic struggle and selfless sacrifice, guided by honorable and noble goals.

It is our permanent duty and obligation, as well as that of the young generations who live in peace and freedom today, to preserve the memory of the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers, as well as to preserve and defend our Republic of Srpska, which is the guarantor of the survival of Serbs in these areas”, the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic states.
