Congratulation of the President of the Republic of Srpska on the occasion of March 8 – the International Women’s Day

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to all women on the occasion of March 8 – the International Women’s Day.

“I would like to extend the warmest congratulations on the occasion of March 8 – the International Women’s Day and I wish you and your families a lot of health, happiness and success.

Marking March 8 is an opportunity to remember the long way women went through in order to recognise basic human rights and once again to point to the need to further improvement of the position of women.

The participation of women in political and public decision-making in the Republic of Srpska confirms that Srpska is a mature democratic society.

The Republic of Srpska institutions will continue to contribute to the improvement of the rights and position of women in society and their stronger involvement in public, professional and political life in the future as well by creating their policies and measures”, reads the congratulation note of the President of the Republic of Srpska.
