The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik opened the “Balkan Solar Summit” conference in Banja Luka today.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the Republic of Srpska has no intention of losing sovereignty in this area and that they will try to find an operational response to every good initiative from this meeting.

“The state is ready to observe your proposals and adapt to everything that is needed it to be a leader”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska added that the issue of energy and food is a dominant issue at the global, but also regional and local level, and that politicians who think that this issue can be resolved in one day are mistaken.

“We must not cause ourselves to collapse, we must not do anything that could be a problem in the future”, said the President Dodik.

The President of Srpska reiterated that all ideas remain distant, nor can they be developed, if the state does not create legal and other frameworks and if the government does not support the profession.

The President of the Republic reminded that 15 years ago, Srpska successfully resisted requests to sell primary energy sources.

“Today, we have the cheapest electricity and we want to keep it, but also to open space for all initiatives and, in accordance with the material and other assumptions of the Republic of Srpska, support investors”, said the President of Srpska.

The President Dodik emphasized that Srpska has stable institutions, which is enough incentive for investors to invest, and that Srpska will not allow investors to wait in line for permits.

The President of the Republic reminded that he discussed energy with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and that they are developing an idea according to which Hungary, Serbia and the Republic of Srpska would create a solidary energy community.

“It will not be a superior, but will consider the resources at our disposal and together on a solidarity level try to exchange surpluses and rehabilitate deficits”, said the President Dodik.
