Annual press conference

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik held an annual press conference today in Banja Luka.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that Srpska is politically, institutionally and security stable.

„We will maintain this situation in the next year as well. We have a balanced budget and the fact is that we have settled all duties – salaries, pensions, payments towards social groups and fighters. We also show stability by the fact that we adopted the budget for the next year”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic pointed out that he is proud of the fact that the Fund for the treatment of children abroad was established, on the basis of which 510 children were treated, and currently there are 16 million BAM in the Fund.

“It is clear that Srpska acted in the right way. The humanitarian action “To Brave Hearts with Love” was exceptional”, it was added by the President Dodik.

The President of Srpska emphasized that the humanitarian action “To Brave Hearts with Love” has been solving urgent issues for years, and this year the procurement of transport incubators for babies.

“I am grateful to everyone who participated in the action “To Brave Hearts with Love”. I am grateful to all those who participated in this action. Every year, we solve problems that concern our children. I would like to point out that the Health Insurance Fund implemented our idea and announced a competition for the procurement of medicines for children suffering from rare diseases. We will also continue to support young people”, it was added by the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska mentioned that it is important that the law was adopted which treats families with four or more children, which stipulates that they will have an income of 750 BAM with contributions.

“This makes us unique in the region, and I am proud of it”, said the President Dodik.

Speaking about the past general elections, the President of the Republic of Srpska repeated that they were fair and democratic.

“The Republic of Srpska showed its democratic capacity, and certain problems, as you could have noticed, were focused on the very clumsy work of the Central Election Commission, which, regardless of its role and importance, nevertheless tried to question the validity of the general elections”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the public debt of Srpska amounts to five billion BAM, which corresponds to 36 percent of the gross domestic product and, when you look at EU countries, Srpska has the smallest debt.

The President of the Republic reminded that there was a disruption in the international market.

“We lost markets in Russia, that is, they were significantly reduced due to the conflict in Ukraine, and we are trying to make up for it in other places”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic reiterated that it is his desire to increase the average salary in Srpska every year.

“We have 290,000 employees, which we have never had before. We are trying not to have the same number of employees and pensioners, and in that way we are relieving the Pension Fund”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska reiterated that Srpska will not have problems with electricity and that it has a stable market.

According to the President of the Republic of Srpska, the price of electricity in Srpska is still the lowest in the region.
