Address by the President Dodik at the event “Selection of the most successful in the economy of the Republic of Srpska” for 2022
The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik addressed tonight in Banja Luka at the event “Selection of the most successful in the economy of the Republic of Srpska” for 2022.
The President Dodik congratulated the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska on its 30th anniversary, as well as the awardees whom he encouraged to continue with all the support that the Republic of Srpska government can provide.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that it is important to be gathered within the chamber system, stressing that the Chamber is one of the important social partners.
The President of the Republic stated that the Republic of Srpska continuously achieves good results, that it has shown that it can manage a crisis such as the pandemic, to protect production and workers.
“We are showing the ability for this unstable global time, and the orientation towards increased exports is the best thing”, said the President of Srpska.
The President Dodik emphasized that last year the economy of the Republic of Srpska made a profit of more than three billion BAM, something to be proud of because it was achieved in unstable circumstances, but he said that the Republic has leadership and management that can respond to it.
The President of Srpska pointed out that in January the coverage of import by export was 97.4 percent, something to be proud of, and the wish is for that coverage to exceed 100 percent.
The President of the Republic indicated that Srpska today has the largest number of employees since its existence, that the responsibility towards employees is visible through the increase in wages, but he also believes that they should be increased more.
“I think we will have to sit down and look for a solution in increasing wages to keep workers and show them that you can work here and make money”, said the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska pointed out that these companies shall always feel the support of the state, and the resources can be seen in everything, and he encouraged them to continue together, to pressure the government to put the real sector first and to ensure stable political conditions.
“In BiH it is almost impossible, but in the Republic of Srpska we have it”, it was concluded by the President Dodik.
The President of the Republic stated that he has assurances that the Chinese government has decided to accept the bonds of the Republic of Srpska as guarantee and financing instruments.
“Usually, everyone is focused on the West, but since two days ago, we have had assurances that the Chinese state and authorities have decided to accept the Republic of Srpska’s bonds as guarantee and financing instruments. They even offer us to carry out works on the construction of highways, while we issue bonds”, said the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska added that they are trying to enter the Chinese market and create an alternative for everyone. Obviously, our choice must be both sides, we cannot remain closed”, it was emphasized by the President of the Republic.
As part of this traditional manifestation, recognition was also presented to the President Dodik, who with his selfless work and activity influenced the creation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska and supported its work over the past 30 years.
On this occasion, Mine and Thermal Power Plant /RiTE/ “Stanari” was declared the most successful large business company in the Republic of Srpska. The second place went to the company “Mlijekoprodukt” from Kozarska Dubica, and the third place to the company “Nora plast” from Banjaluka.
Representatives of these companies were awarded by the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik.
