The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik held today in Banja Luka, in accordance with the constitutional powers, a work-consultative meeting with representatives of institutions and presidents of parliamentary political parties from the Republic of Srpska, on the occasion of the latest anti-constitutional decision of the so-called Constitutional Court of BiH.
The President of the Republic requested that the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina cancels its yesterday’s decision on amending the Rules of this Court by Friday and return it to the previous decision.
“We request that by Friday at 12:00 p.m., the Constitutional Court of BiH cancels its decision and returns it to the previous decision. We request it to make a decision that it will not decide on any issue or any procedure until the Law on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is passed”, said the President of Srpska.
If this does not happen by Friday at 12:00 p.m., the President Dodik said that the participants of today’s meeting agreed that the President will request an advisory opinion from the Constitutional Court of Srpska on the situation and position of Srpska and recommend legal behavior with its advisory legal opinion.
The President of the Republic emphasized that the Constitutional Court of BiH, in accordance with its latest decisions, behaves anti-Serb, anti-constitutional and anti-Dayton.
“It is proof that that court is part of an insidious plan to collapse the Republic of Srpska and thus showed that it has no good intentions towards Srpska and the Serb people as a constituent. By doing so, it overturns the decision on the constitution of the people that it made itself, as well as the decision on the equality of the entities. That court is acting arrogantly and wants to make the Serbs the majority and to exclude them from the decision-making process provided for by the Constitution and the equality guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement”, said the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic emphasized that Srpska, if the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to behave unconstitutionally, will initiate the drafting and adoption of a new constitution of Srpska.
“And that within 90 days, since the Constitutional Court of BiH divided BiH with yesterday’s measure, we will affirm its statehood and protect its Dayton rights on the basis of drafting a new constitution of Srpska”, announced the President Dodik.
The meeting held in Banja Luka was attended by the Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, ministers in the Government of Srpska and the presidents of the parties that make up the ruling coalition in the Republic of Srpska.
