The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán today in Budapest, together with the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that Srpska wants to cooperate with Hungary and that this cooperation takes place to mutual satisfaction.

The President Dodik said that today, in order for all agreed projects and cooperation to have a larger scope and a new format, they agreed to form a joint council to monitor those policies.

The President of the Republic clarified that the council will be informed about the development of earlier agreements every three months.

“Meetings will be mandatory every six months in order to operationally see how everything is going”, it was stated by the President of Srpska.

The President Dodik stated that the Prime Minister Orbán is aware of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that he understands it and that it has been established that the situation is complex.

“It is important for us to have understanding with our friends, and I think it exists here. Objectively, apart from that understanding, they cannot do much, but it is very important that they know what this is about”, it was added by the President of the Republic.

The President of Srpska stated that at the meeting they informed the Prime Minister Orbán that in BiH an unelected foreigner imposes laws, defends his ego and vanity, defends his personality, and violates all the norms of the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement.

“He is an unelected foreigner, and he is playing a power game in which he thinks that those behind him can impose the political will to change the law and imprison anyone who looks at him badly”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic pointed out that he has never been more convinced that he is in the right place and that he is leading the right policy. “Of course, the opposition does not like that, but that is not my problem”, said the President of Srpska.
