The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović attended the election of the most successful company in the Republic of Srpska in 2007.

On the ceremony that was held in Banski dvor in Banja Luka, the President of the Republic was talking to present people and he therefore emphasized that the Republic of Srpska is determined to support all intentions related to the improvement of economical ambient, widening of business environment and stimulating of economy. This will be essential in companies and with economists that deal with the production and export and that can help to decrease the foreign trade deficit.

This way, we confirm persistence and empower the foundations, identity and the role of the Republic of Srpska that becomes, not only a stable and permanent political and legal fact, but also a prosperous economic community, said the President Kuzmanović.

The President of the Republic emphasized that we altogether expect that this year will be better than previous and that the next year will be crucial, because the Republic of Srpska will commence numerous public works and it will become a great constructing place. All this will be realized by extended efforts of bodies and institutions of the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and all of us as well.

President of the Republic visited municipality Čelinac

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović visited municipality of Čelinac and he met the authorities of the municipality presided by the mayor Momčilo Zeljković.

Municipality representatives briefed the President of the Republic with political and economic situation in Čelinac and with developing plans and projects in the municipality, which are related on constructing of road and water infrastructure and war invalids housing management.

The President of the Republic supported the intentions and activities of municipality authorities and he emphasized that roads, schools, living objects, sport halls must be built in Čelinac as this would help municipality to leave the circle of underdevelopment.

The President of the Republic attended the ceremony on the occasion of 100 edition of "Čelinačke novine", and he said this newspaper represent the lighthouse of culture and events as well as the chronicle of Čelinac and its surroundings.

Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met a successful marathon runner Željko Blagojević.

The action "Let`s walk to Kosovo and Metohija" during which Željko Blagojević passed 800 kilometers from Banja Luka to Kosovska Mitrovica in nine days was the occasion for this meeting.

Željko Blagojević said that his intention was to send the message of support from the citizens of the Republic of Srpska to Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija in symbolic and dignified manner.

The President of the Republic congratulated Blagojević on this noble gesture that he perfectly used to express the thoughts and feelings of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska on the occasion of illegal declaration of independence of Kosovo and Metohija and disturbing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

"Saint Stefan" and he wished him a lot of success in his future competition where he will show his virtues and will in best possible way represent the Republic of Srpska in the world.

In the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Srpska in East Sarajevo, the President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met the Mayor and the president of the town Assembly of East Sarajevo Radomir Kezunović and Milivoj Gutalj.

After the meeting, the President Kuzmanović said that East Sarajevo will become a constitutional category after the reform of the Constitution of the Republic of Srpska that is expected to be adopted in the mid of April. The President added that it means that the town has a powerful legal and constitutional background and that it cannot be treated as a temporary institution.

It was stated that a powerful waft in the development of this region has been done, as during the last year period 17 million KM have been invested in the town, but it is still not sufficient. Therefore, certain programmes have been made and they were presented to the Council of development of the Republic and greater number will be approved. More than 150 million KM will be invested for those programmes - said the President Kuzmanović and he emphasized that East Sarajevo with its development will contribute to the development not only of the Republic of Srpska but to entire region as well.

The President of the Republic of Srpska reiterated that with all legal means we should try to return the objects of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Sarajevo and they should be put into function which they had before the war.

The Mayor of East Sarajevo Radomir Kezunović emphasized that at the meeting with the President Kuzmanović they discussed current issues and that it was agreed that the President of the Republic of Srpska will visit this town in the future period to notify changes that have been done.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović opened the scientific Symposium "Infoteh-Jahorina 2008".

On that occasion, the President of the Republic said that strategic interest of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina is to conceive their economical and social development on knowledge, science and research work, informational and communicational technologies and on thesis of informational society.

The President Kuzmanović emphasized that this gathering will generally consider the current issues on the field of informational technologies as well as their implementation in the systems of managing, industrial, and communicational systems and production processes related to more successful and faster work.

Therefore, he said that in the future period the development will more and more depend on science and its appliance, because the main factor of civilization development becomes a science.

Development and appliance of informational and communicational technologies and appliance of the internet change business and the work of modern companies and institutions in their roots- said the President Kuzmanović. He also added that for years the Republic of Srpska has intensively worked on the realization of the strategy and action plan of development of informational society. The organizational and responsible approach as well as an important financial support of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, founding of public institution Serbian Academic research network of the Republic of Srpska and the Agency for informational society of the Republic of Srpska will contribute to it.

The President Kuzmanović said that good organization and coordination as well as fast development of informational and communicational technologies will contribute to the quality of work, effectiveness and economy in the bodies of government, local communities, education, culture, health, domestic and foreign investments.

The President of the Republic said that it is essential to emphasize the need of the constructing and establishing the system of control and restriction of violation of all aspects of undedicated usage of informational and communicational technologies. He therefore emphasized that he will engage in organizing regular anniversary manifestation for the most successful inventors and they would be awarded by appropriate prizes for creation of the youth fund, and therefore they would support current scholarship of talented students.

He also said that this year three-day scientific gathering is devoted to the scientist Milutin Milanković whose works are part of the most eminent and the wisest realization of the last century.

The organizer of "Infoteh-Jahorina 2008" is Electrotechnical Faculty in East Sarajevo, and co-organizer is Electro-technical Faculty from Banja Luka, but Electrotechnical Faculties from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Podgorica supported the organization as well.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mihailo Trpkoski.

On this occasion, the President Kuzmanović emphasized that the Republic of Srpska is a constituent part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in those terms, it is not questionable.

The President said that the Republic of Srpska will, in its future active participation in solving current political and economical problems and in realization of the process of reform, continue in contributing to the Euro-Atlantic integrations and fulfilling of the conditions which are needed for signing the Agreement on Stabilization and Association with the European Union.

The Ambassador Trpkoski said that Macedonia, as a friendly country, supports the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina in their intentions related to the signing of the Agreement on Stabilization and Association with the European Union.

During the conversation, it was stated that good relations between the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia should be continued and improved as well, and especially when economical and cultural issues are concerned.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović extended his greetings to the Archbishop of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljić, to clergy and to all citizens of Catholic religion in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of the greatest Christian Holiday of Easter, and he therefore wished them to spend it in peace, happiness and felicity.

'I am convinced that we shall, in the spirit of religious tolerance, mutual respect and sincere understanding, continue in building of a better and happier future for all our people and citizens', it was stated in the greeting of the President Kuzmanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabro-Bosnia and the dean of Theological Faculty in Foča Prof. Dr. Predrag Puzović.

The Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosnia briefed the President of the Republic about the work of Metropolinate, the process of restoration, construction of religious buildings and activities related to the return of property to Serbian Orthodox Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of the Republic supported the intentions of Serbian Orthodox Church for taken property to be retrieved, and especially when the building of Theological Faculty in Sarajevo is concerned.

The President of the Republic expressed expectation that the basic agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Serbian Orthodox Church will be signed as soon as possible, on the way Bosnia and Herzegovina has already agreed with the Holy See.

The dean of the Theological Faculty Predrag Puzović briefed the President about the work of Theological Faculty in Foča and material and financial problems they encounter in their work.

The President Kuzmanović supported the work of this high-educational institution. He therefore emphasized that authorized bodies and institutions should do everything to improve conditions of education and the work of teachers, students and pupils.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr Rajko Kuzmanović attended the ceremony on the occasion of the 8th Anniversary of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President Kuzmanović stated that Brčko District is a prosperous local community that has a perspective only if it stays on the current level of local government.

The President of the Republic said that the Republic of Srpska has significantly contributed to the prosperity of the District.

The Republic of Srpska transferred the part of its governmental authorities to the District and it constituted the power in which citizens could enjoy trust-the President Kuzmanović emphasized.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met the president of the Republic of Srpska Organization of Families of Imprisoned and Deceased Veterans and Missing Civilians Nedeljko Mitrović and the president of the Organization of Families of Imprisoned and Deceased Veterans and Missing Civilians in East Sarajevo Mirjana Simanić.

The President of the Republic emphasized that finding missing civilians should be a priority task of entity and state bodies and institutions as well as non-governmental organizations that solve those problems. The President also said that this process has to be solved as soon as possible and then families of missing persons would know the truth about their closest.

The President of the Republic supported the efforts and activities of these associations as they collected evidences of missing soldiers and civilians as well as evidences on suffering of Serbian people in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the previous war. The initiative has been supported that the Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, authorized for searching of war crimes becomes Republic Centre for war crimes investigation that will be able to offer legal help to the families.

The discontentment and exasperation have been expressed by the work of the Commission for establishing truth about suffering of Bosniaks, Serbs, Jewish and other people in Sarajevo in the period from 1992 to 1995. The work of this Commission has constantly been obstructed and it did not give any results.

The truth on suffering of Serbs in Sarajevo has been requested as it was requested at the time when this Commission was founded.

The attitudes of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska were supported, when the work of the Institute for missing people of Bosnia and Herzegovina is concerned, the Institute that took the authorities over from the entity offices for finding missing people. According to this, all personnel, organizational, normative and financial issues in the Institute have to be solved by consensus for respecting the law on missing people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the law on conflict of interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From authorized court and prosecutor bodies, firstly from the Prosecutor’s office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, investigation that is more effective and processing of those responsible for war crimes was demanded as a key precondition in the process of reconciliation and strengthening of trust between people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The representatives of these associations briefed the President about problems encountered in their town, material and social position of these categories and their status position.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović attended the promotion of the first edition of the magazine "Moderna uprava", that was held in the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka. The publisher of this magazine is the Agency for public administration of the Republic of Srpska.

The aim of this magazine is the identification of the needs for ability and motivation development of public administrators who would within their personal spheres of responsiblity create and implement adequate politics, practice, structure and processes related to human resources, that would enable necessary development of public administration and that are at the same time in the function of the citizens and economy.

Appendixes of professors from the University in Banja Luka, public administrators as well as public workers of the Republic of Srpska have been published in this magazine.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović sent telegram to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina H. E. Constantin Shuvalov. The President therefore expressed his contetment due to the presidential elections in Russia, where majority of citizens supported the candidate Dimitry Medvedev for the President of the Russian Federation, and for the fact that elections were held in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere.

"I would like you to express my sincere and friendly congratulations, on the ocassion of winning the presidential elections, to the future President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dimitry Medvedev. I am certain that Russia, led by the President Medvedev, will successfully keep its continuity in further stabilisation of political situation and economic development and that it will continue its principal politics on the international grounds, by strenghtening its relations with the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina", it was stated in the congratulation of the President Kuzmanović.

Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met the members of the presidency of Serbian Association of Criminal Law Theory and Practice and the president of the Association Prof. Dr. Stanko Bejatović.

The President of the Republic supported the activities of this Association, whose members briefed the President about their plans and activities for 2008.

At the meeting, they discussed criterion for fighting and preventing crime and especially organized crime. Therefore, they emphasized the need for harmonization of legislation in the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, jointly as well as with the law of the European Union and the activities that should be taken through the actions of the Association of lawyers of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia.

The concern was emphasized for the fact that in the conditions of fight for law and legal state, basic standards of domestic and international law have been violated, and the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, on unrecognizing of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo and Metohija`s independence, has been supported.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović met the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina H. E. Konstantin Shuvalov.

The Republic of Srpska is interested in further strengthening of cooperation with Russia in the field of economy, culture and education and that cooperation will contribute to the improvement of traditionally good relations, said the President of the Republic.

The President Kuzmanović informed the Ambassador of Russia that the Republic of Srpska is strongly determined to full respect of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and he therefore emphasized that discussions on eventual constitutional reforms have to be based on the Dayton solutions, and by clearly defined constitutional status and authorities of the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ambassador Shuvalov said that Russia is open for all aspects of cooperation with the Republic of Srpska. He also emphasized that Russian companies are interested in investments in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ambassador praised a good ambient and conditions for foreign investments in the Republic of Srpska.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of participation and the role of the Republic of Srpska in the great energetic projects in the region.

It was jointly stated that unilateral declaration of Kosovo`s independence represents harsh violation of the international law and they also discussed the intentions of Serbia to keep its sovereignty and territorial integrity by democratic, legal and diplomatic means.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović attended the opening of the conference `Religious traditions as an important peace factor in the modern world`, that was organized by the International Orthodox People’s Unity Fund in Banja Luka.

Talking to the participants of the conference, the President Kuzmanović said that Orthodox identity of Serbian people is at the same time their European identity. The President, therefore, emphasized that the Republic of Srpska is determined towards the European path and that it wishes for Europe to become a sincere community of democratic states and educated people who would mutually become closer, who would cooperate and respect each other.

We are strongly orientated towards the respect of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Republic of Srpska as its part. According to all political, democratic and diplomatic means, we are decisive to preserve its constitutional authorities as the constitutive part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we shall support its determination towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations and associations-the President Kuzmanović said.

The President of the Republic emphasized that today Serbian nation undergoes heroic fight for its own spiritual, physical, as well as territorial, functional, national and legal identity and integrity. The President also added that today, more than ever before, it is important to create a real unity and understanding of similar or the same civilized cultures that comprise spiritual and profane sphere.

The President also said that Serbs, as a small Orthodox nation, are stronger and better than ever before on the path of Saint Savahood`s Orthodoxy and culture at the moment when all world`s powerful people endanger them, and this is particularly related to the situation in Serbia.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović was a sponsor and he also attended the promotion and projection of a documentary film "Mučenici" by the author Denis Cvitičanin, that was held in Banski dvor in Banja Luka.

The message of this film, which is about Serb suffering in notorious camps Dretelj, Lora and Čelebići, is that there were many crimes in the previous war on all sides and that they should never happen again-the President of the Republic of Srpska Rajko Kuzmanović said at the promotion of this film.
