President of the Republic of Srpska condemned statements of the President of Croatia Stjepan Mesić and Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Haris Silajdžić

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović considers the Croatian President Stjepan Mesić `s statement utterly tendentious and unsupported in which he said that the Republic of Srpska has been established by ethnical cleaning.

Such several times repeated statements do not contribute to good neighbouring relations. "They affect and destabilize everything that was achieved until now", it was emphasized by the President Kuzmanović and therefore added that until politics is on the first place, and economic issues on the second, neither people in Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a good life, nor neighbouring relations will be developed in the right direction.

Such provocations do not contribute to good neighbouring relations, neither to the internal relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By interfering in the internal affairs, constant insisting on unitary Bosnia and Herzegovina and minimizing of its institutions is not the way that Bosnia and Herzegovina has chosen by signing the Agreement on Stabilization and Association with the European Union.

The statements given by the Croatian President Stjepan Mesić contribute only to further strengthening of permanent tendencies of political circle in Sarajevo on devaluation of the Republic of Srpska. By all that, violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, of constitutional, territorial, organizational and functional status of the Republic of Srpska has been continued as well as reducing of its constitutional status in the frame of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović condemns the statement of Haris Silajdžić, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman, that the Prime Minister in the Government of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik violated the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President suggests that Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman should be proud for the fact that the Republic of Srpska is economically stronger and more stable part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it makes all efforts on the path towards the European Union.

That is the reason why discussions with the representatives of Slovenia can only give contribution in strengthening of relations between the two countries and that they do not violate the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina in any way.
