Your Excellency
Ladies and Gentlemen
Dear friends

Let me welcome you to this reception this evening in Banski dvor in Banja Luka on the occasion of the Christmas festival. This room is filled with the brightness and good wishes for the forthcoming Christmas that we Catholics believe in. We would like to share all the Christmas happiness with all of you. Christmas is a time of happiness and time when we desire harmony and serenity to everyone and if we want to achieve this we need to be more considerate and open - minded. Let us all open our souls to the God’s will who uses his son to come into our lives.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina this has been a year of political and economical uncertainty. Perhaps we had more ambitious plans for our country, but unfortunately we did not act efficiently enough and that’s why our achievements are not as good as we expected.

At this time of the year we think of the birth of Jesus and I would like to use this occasion to wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Take all your Christmas wishes to your family, home and workplace. Let Christmas happiness enrich your efforts for all people’s sake.

On these days Jewish people, the followers of Moses law celebrate their holiday Hanukkah and I would like to take this occasion to express my best wishes to all of them.

Today as well, by coincidence or not, Bosniaks Muslims celebrate their holiday Bajram and I would also like to use this opportunity to express my best wishes with words Bajram Šerif Mubarek Olsun!

To all Orthodox believers who are preparing themselves by fastening and good behavior for the celebration of Christmas by Julian calendar I wish all the best with old traditional words Mir Božiji Hristos se rodi, Vaistinu se rodi- PEACE FROM GOD-CHRIST IS BORN, INDEED HE IS BORN!

I WISH ALL OF YOU A HAPPY AND BLESSED CHRISTMAS, SUCCESS AT WORK, HAPPINES IN SOULS AND HEARTS AND BLESSING FROM GOD. ALSO, I WISH A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.
