The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, on occasion of the Patron Saint Day of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior – Holy Archangel Michael, extended her congratulations to the Minister of Interior, Dragan Lukač, Police Director Siniša Кostrešević and all members of the Ministry of Interior.
“On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend our sincerest congratulations to you and all members of the Republic of Srpska Interior Ministry on the Patron Saint Day – Holy Archangel Michael. “First of all, I congratulate the members of the Ministry of Interior on their professional and patriotic attitude towards this honourable, but responsible and difficult profession. “The Ministry of Interior, as a pillar of security and the guardian of our system, is a guarantee that our citizens will live more peacefully and safely, while it is the obligation of institutions to continuously invest in police resources and create the necessary conditions for their work and normal functioning. “The role and engagement of the Interior Ministry members is extremely important at a time when the Republic of Srpska is facing numerous challenges, including the migrant crisis and the fight to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic. “The celebration of the Patron Saint Day is an opportunity to remember with special respect and gratitude members of the police who gave their lives or body parts in the defence and patriotic war, defending the Serb people’s right to freedom. “Confident that you will continue to be strong guardians of peace and stability, the strength and pride of the Republic of Srpska, I once again wish to congratulate you on your Patron Saint Day –Holy Archangel Michael,” reads the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Srpska.
