The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to BiH Aleksandar Đorđević in an inaugural visit.
The current political situation in the Republic of Srpska, the process of formation of power at the level of BiH, the activities related to the joint projects of Srpska and Serbia and other current issues were discussed at the meeting.
The President Cvijanović emphasized on this occasion that the institutional cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia is at an extremely high level and expressed satisfaction with the fact that new joint projects, especially those related to the economy, are being intensively developed.
The President of the Republic reminded that the results of the so far cooperation are visible in the municipalities throughout the Republic of Srpska through the implementation of a large number of municipal and infrastructure projects funded by the Republic of Serbia.
The support of Serbia, as the most important economic partner and support for the preservation and strengthening of the Republic of Srpska, as stated by the President Cvijanović, influences the improvement of the lives of citizens in practical terms, and on this occasion, on behalf of the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Srpska, the President of Srpska thanked the leadership of the Republic of Serbia.
The interlocutors highlighted the necessity of strengthening close and fraternal ties between the Serb people on both sides of the River Drina, on the institutional, economic, cultural and educational level in accordance with the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations based on the Dayton Agreement.
