The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović presented 14 displaced and refugee families with the keys to apartments in Prnjavor today.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the programme, which was implemented through the cooperation between donors, the Government of Srpska, this municipality and BiH institutions, showed the ability to resolve the citizens` living problems.

The President of Srpska said that in the previous period, numerous problems were resolved regarding this category of the population and accommodation was provided.

“In the municipality of Prnjavor, but also in all other municipalities, we will continue with the implementation of important projects for certain endangered categories and all other important projects for the development of local communities and strengthening their capacities”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović pointed out that the goal was to improve living conditions, and reminded that rural communities have also been concerned, where numerous projects had been implemented.

“Today, we have visited the works on the construction of the roundabout on Vijaka, which is also a significant investment worth 815,000 BAM, and is being implemented through the cooperation with the company “Roads of the Republic of Srpska”. Behind all such projects, there is an activism of local authorities as well as appropriate projects”, said the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that she was grateful to the municipality of Prnjavor, the Mayor and his associates who show that kind of ability to define important issues and who encourage the implementation of certain projects.

“Wherever we have good cooperation and activism, there has never been a lack of support from the republic level. We only have a problem in a smaller number of municipalities where there are no applications to the projects, where there is no indication of the need to resolve certain problems”, said the President Cvijanović.
