The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended yesterday marking of the Patronal Feast Day in the Church of St. Nikola in Phoenix.
The President Cvijanović congratulated the patronal feast day to the priest Stanislav Durić and all the parishioners and expressed satisfaction that the Serb people regularly meet around important religious and national holidays in the diaspora.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic of Srpska informed the gathered believers that the funds were provided from the budget of the President of the Republic for the purchase of a shroud and for the restoration of the iconography in the Church of St. Nikola in Phoenix.
The President Cvijanović announced that, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the related ministry, the Serbian language teachers will be provided and that our children living in Phoenix will learn their mother tongue as well as their peers in the Republic of Srpska and Serbia.
During the visit to Phoenix, the President Cvijanović attended a local dinner with representatives of the Serb associations in this city, and met with businessmen of our origin who have been successfully working within the business community in Phoenix.
