The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH Petar Ivantsov on the occasion of June 12 – the National Day of Russia.

“On the occasion of the National Holiday – the Day of Russia and on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend cordial congratulations and best wishes to the overall progress and well-being of your country and citizens.

A strong and prosperous Russia is of great importance for the Republic of Srpska and its citizens since we are connected by traditionally good relations, as well as deep and unbreakable cultural and spiritual ties.

I am convinced that our partnership, based on centuries-old friendship and closeness of our peoples, will be even stronger and more significant in the coming period.

Dear Ambassador, please convey the expressions of deep gratitude to the leadership of the Russian Federation, led by the President Vladimir Putin and the Russian people, for the humanitarian aid that Russia directed to the Republic of Srpska while fighting against the corona virus.

The fraternal understanding and solidarity you have shown in difficult and challenging times for the health workers, institutions and citizens of the Republic of Srpska is another proof of sincere and friendly relationship and cooperation between Srpska and Russia.
