President of the Republic of Srpska attends the manifestation of marking the Battle of Kozara
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the manifestation of marking the Battle of Kozara on Mrakovica today.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that Kozara is one of the best indicators of how life can overcome death, even at times when death was so intimidating and taking so many victims.
“There is nothing that will rob us of what is called a strong Republic of Srpska. Because the Republic of Srpska takes care of us and we have to take care of it, of course, while remembering all the moments from the past”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic emphasized that there must be no place for naivety, that it must be known that there were many mistakes in the past and a lot of time that became or was explained in a completely different way.
The President of Srpska pointed out that many victims never received either domestic or international attention, and the obligation of today’s and future generations is to correct such mistakes.
“We must respect the freedom we enjoy. Kozara is an example of how it was possible to survive in difficult times. Kozara is therefore a mother for all of us, wherever we came from, but also a great obligation for our institutions and every individual and citizen to believe in what is ahead of us”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic added that she always believed in the Republic of Srpska and the ability of its people to survive all times and to become politically smarter, to understand that it should not play politically or in any other way with those victims who stood or who are standing behind the people, nor with the freedom it enjoys today, and especially not with what constitutes an institutional framework and protection for the future.
“The Republic of Srpska is the only guarantee of our future. Therefore, our attention must be focused on the obligation to build and develop the Republic of Srpska as our key commitment”, said the President Cvijanović.
