President of the Republic of Srpska visits the Secondary School Centre in Teslić
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the Secondary School Centre in Teslić today.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the republic authorities will actively work on improving the conditions in school facilities in the future in order to provide pupils and teaching staff with better conditions for learning and work.
“During the last 10 years, numerous rehabilitation projects have been implemented throughout Srpska. We continue to record the needs and I am sure that in the next three to four years we shall be able to say that we have implemented successful and useful school projects everywhere in Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic highlighted that she was satisfied with the meeting with the directors of all schools held at the Secondary School Centre in Teslić regarding investments in school facilities which will be implemented this year.
The President Cvijanović said that the school break is the target period for the implementation of school projects worth more than 800,000 BAM, thus certain schools in Teslić could be renovated by the beginning of the next year.
The President of the Republic added that 600,000 BAM will be allocated for renewals at the Primary School “Petar Petrović Njegoš”. “These funds have been provided by Serbia and a gym hall will be built there as well as an upgrading of classrooms”, said the President Cvijanović.
Speaking about the Secondary School Centre, the President of Srpska stated that the implementation of the project of repairing the amphitheater roof is in progress.
The President of the Republic of Srpska expressed her satisfaction that she met with young and talented students of the Secondary School Centre who achieved excellent results – Nevena Radešić, a graduate from the local Gymnasium who won the third place at the European Mathematical Olympiad in Ukraine and Ognjen Lazić, a third-year student of the High School “Nikola Tesla” – mechatronics department, who invented a quick reading application that will soon be available on Google Play Store.
“They know what they want and they will be provided with institutional support in their development. These are two young, creative and well-organised students who want to achieve success. As such, they deserve the attention of the institutions and as the President of the Republic I shall be support to them and all similar young and ambitious people in their achievements in Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.
