President of the Republic of Srpska holds a preparatory meeting for launching the National Programmme for Demographic Recovery of the Republic of Srpska
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović held today in her office a preparatory meeting for launching the National Programme for Demographic Recovery of the Republic of Srpska with the resor ministers and prominent experts in the field of demographic policy in the Republic of Srpska.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović emphasized the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska to promote and create a better economic, but also a politically stable environment that would provide a safe life for the citizens of the Republic, and therefore stressed the necessity of finding the best solutions relevant to the issues of emigration and migration of the population in Srpska.
In this context, it was agreed at the meeting to form an expert and operating team that will, based on the carried analyzes, define and propose systemic measures that would produce short and long-term effects for demographic recovery of the Republic of Srpska.
The first preparatory meeting for the launching of the National Programme for Demographic Recovery of the Republic of Srpska was also attended by ministers in the Government of the Republic of Srpska: Minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society Srđan Rajčević, Minister of Family, Youth and Sports Sonja Davidović, Minister of Education and Culture Natalija Trivić, Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Boris Pašalić, a member of the Senate of the Republic of Srpska PhD Milimir Mučibabić, a prominent demographer and member of the Senate PhD Stevo Pašalić, Director of the Republic Institute for Statistics PhD Jasmin Komić and Professor of Social Geography and Demography at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Banja Luka, Draško Marinković.
